Safety & security film

Clear, thick films that help glass stay in its frame when it breaks — reducing flying shards and slowing a break-in.

What security film is — and isn't

Safety and security films are thicker polyester films with strong adhesive. When glass is struck, the film helps hold the fragments together and in the frame, instead of letting them scatter. That can reduce injury risk and buy time against a smash-and-grab.

It is not bulletproof glass and does not make a window unbreakable. Film alone is also not a substitute for code-approved hurricane protection. We'll explain what the film can realistically do for your situation.

Options

Where it's used

Retail storefronts, pharmacies, offices, schools, places of worship, glass entry doors, sidelights, and sliding doors at homes.

Our process

  1. Review of glass type, thickness, and frame condition.
  2. Recommendation of film thickness and whether an attachment system makes sense.
  3. Edge-to-edge installation with minimal gap at the gasket.
  4. Attachment sealant cured and inspected, where applied.
